NDF Feeding Guidelines

When you open the box, you will find two bags, a pale blue one for the morning and a dark blue one for the evening. Open both. Take a cup measure and follow the feeding directions (see feeding guidelines below). ADDING WATER TO THE A.M. FOOD IS ESSENTIAL. All the moisture has been taken out of the ingredients, and you must add it back to ensure the proper acid/alkaline balance of the diet. Too little water will cause your dog's stool to become mucousy and his system too acidic.

Day 6 PM: Instead of beef or chicken, substitute cottage cheese.
Day 7 PM: Half-day fast. Rest from food to cleanse and rest digestive system. Take dog for walk at normal feeding time. Can be given water and raw honey if too hungry.

PLEASE NOTE: The above directions are guidelines. Some dogs are more active than others. You will have to keep track of your dog's weight. If he or she is getting too heavy on the suggested diet above, reduce all the ingredients slightly. If your dog is very active, you may have to increase the amounts you feed. Feeding Cats PM NDF with PHD

We have found that some cats enjoy eating NDF Crumble. You may use the P.M. food for your cats, as long as you follow the directions here:

Cats should be fed 2-3 times a day. Food should only be left down for 10 minutes, then picked up. Store any food left in the refrigerator to use for the next meal. If your cat is always leaving food, decrease the quantities of each meal, until the dish is licked clean. (for larger cat families, just multiply the amounts).
Meal Specifics:
Meal 1
• 1/8 - 1/4 cup PHD dry cat food
• water should be available
Meal 2
  • 1/8 - 1/4 cup ground chicken or turkey (rotate)
• 1 teaspoon NDF Crumble
• 1 heaping teaspoon baby food vegetables (rotate varieties)
• 1-2 teaspoons water
• stir and serve
Meal 3 (Optional)
  • 1/8 - 1/4 cup PHD dry cat food
• water should be available
